When is the wedding?
Our wedding celebration will take place over the weekend of January 31, 2026, in Charleston, South Carolina.
What is the dress code?
The dress code for our wedding day is black tie formal. Gowns, tuxedos, and formal evening wear are most appropriate. As our ceremony and reception will take place in a museum, we encourage you to dress for the elegance of the setting. For festive inspiration, please view our Pinterest mood board.
Will transportation be provided?
As all venues are centrally located in downtown Charleston, we encourage guests to walk or use rideshare services. The closest parking garage for the welcome party is located at 90 Cumberland Street. The parking garage for the wedding is one block from the Museum at 85 Queen Street.
What accessibility options are available?
The Queen Street Playhouse offers wheelchair-accessible seating and restrooms. The Gibbes Museum is fully ADA accessible. Elevators provide access to all public floors, and wheelchair-accessible restrooms are located on each level. The Tap Room is ADA accessible with ramps and wide entryways. Accessible restrooms are available.
May I bring a guest?
If your invitation includes a guest, a plus one will appear on the RSVP form of this website. We truly appreciate your understanding as we’ve made thoughtful choices to keep the celebration intimate.
Are children invited?
While we love your little ones, our wedding weekend will be an adults-only affair. Thank you for understanding. We are happy to assist you in arranging childcare while in Charleston.
What is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by December 1, 2025 so that we may finalize our guest list and seating chart.
What should I expect weather-wise?
Charleston in January is typically mild, with temperatures ranging from the mid-50s to mid-60s. We recommend bringing layers for outdoor portions of the weekend. There will be outdoor heaters during the tented wedding reception.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors?
The ceremony will be held indoors and the reception outdoors in the garden under a tent at the Gibbes Museum of Art. The welcome party and farewell party will be indoors.
How do I communicate dietary restrictions?
You may note any allergies or dietary preferences when you RSVP. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.
Will alcohol be served?
Yes, an open bar will be available during the welcome party and wedding reception. Raise a glass and celebrate with us!
